Brest vs. PSG Preview: One Final Tune-up Before UCL

Heading into the FIFA international break, Luis Enrique and his team clicked on all cylinders with their attack. The reigning Ligue 1 champions recorded 13 goals in their first three league matches, resulting in three straight victories.

Bradley Barcola is having a fantastic start to the 2024-25 season, scoring four goals and having a goal in each of PSG's three matches this campaign. The 22-year-old's goal-scoring touch followed him while playing for the France national team, recording a goal in the UEFA Nations League match against Italy.

If Brest want to leave with all three points, their defense will need to keep the former Olympique Lyonnais ace quiet. Brest are off to a slow start this season, having won one match and lost two, but they headed into the international break on a positive note, having defeated Saint-Étienne 4-0 on August 31 after losing their first two matches.

Brest struggled in their first two Ligue 1 contests, scoring one goal in 180 minutes of action, but the scoring floodgates did open against Les Verts.

Mahdi Camara has been Brest's standout performer through three matches this season, scoring two goals for Les Pirates. The 26-year-old will need to play a major role against PSG to ensure Éric Roy and his team leave with a favorable result on the road.

Both teams will look for the win and all three points to ride positive momentum into the league phase of the Champions League. PSG will welcome Girona FC on Wednesday to the Parc des Princes. Meanwhile, Brest will host SK Sturm Graz on Thursday at Stade de Roudourou.
