Marseille injected more youth into their squad this summer as the team has an average age of 24.8. Despite their age, OM are counting on their new arrivals like Mason Greenwood (22), Elye Wahi (21), Ismaël Koné (22), Bamo Meïté (22), Valentín Carboni (19), and Jonathan Rowe (21) to have an impact.
Greenwood scored a brace in Les Phocéens' win over Brest and Luis Henrique (22) also recorded two goals while Wahi added a goal on a penalty kick. Although De Zerbi is counting on youth, there are veteran players on this team, and one is goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli, who arrived from Ajax this summer.
The 32-year-old also made a crucial save as Brest failed to convert on a penalty kick chance. De Zerbi's trust in the squad's young talent paid off on Matchday 1 and he will look to replicate that on Matchday 2.
Stade de Reims are looking for a bounce-back performance after losing 2-0 to LOSC Lille on Matchday 1. Reims are under new manager Luka Elsner so starting his new tenure off with a loss isn't ideal, so the squad will attempt to get back on the right foot on Matchday 2.
Les rouges et blancs have added a youngster of their own this summer as they secured Paris Saint-Germain's Gabriel Moscardo on loan to bolster the club's midfield this season. Reims will also have a young squad this season as the team's average age is 24.5.
Sunday should prove to be an exciting matchup between these two young teams. One side will look for their first win of the season while the other aim to win their second straight.
