The young French attacking midfielder Désiré Doué (19 years old) has signed a 5 year contract with the capital club from Rennes on Saturday. “Désiré is one of the most exciting young stars in France and Europe, with a great desire to succeed at the highest level with PSG. We are continuing to build at Paris Saint-Germain an incredible team of talented young players in all positions with the collective principle at the heart of everything we do,” said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to the club website.
Dribbling and playing most often on the left flank, the midfielder, who was under contract with Rennes until 2026, made his professional debut in 2022. A French U-21 international since the end of 2023, he was part of Thierry Henry's squad at the Olympics in a substitute role and scored one goal during the tournament. At PSG, he will be in competition on the left with Bradley Barcola, scorer on Friday during the first round of Ligue 1 McDonald's in Le Havre (4-1), but coach Luis Enrique could also incorporate him into the midfield to benefit from its above-average technical qualities.

Elsewhere in Brittany, Angers SCO have brought in a midfielder of their own in Algerian midfielder Haris Belkebla, who appeared more than 100 times for Brest before spending last season with Saudi Arabia.
Elsewhere in the league, Racing Club de Strasbourg have been busy, signing former Swedish international goalkeeper Karl-Johan Johnsson from Bordeaux, Diego Moreira on loan from Chelsea and Félix Lémerechal from AS Monaco.
