Happy Birthday Nabil Fekir! In making almost  200 appearances for his childhood club, including 145 in Ligue 1, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner never failed to impress, playing with a verve and passion that was rarely equalled and never surpassed The former Olympique Lyonnais star turns 31 today, and to celebrate, we run down some of our favorite moments from his time with Les Gones!

Nabil Fekir celebrates against AS Saint-Étienne

1. -THAT- CELEBRATION

Lyon would finish third in the 2017-18 season, scoring more goals than any team in the division save Paris Saint-Germain. A key part of an attack that also featured Memphis Depay, Bertrand Traoré and Mariano Diaz, Bruno Génésio's side ran roughshod over most opponents, including scoring five goals in a league match on four separate occasions. One of these was against bitter rivals AS Saint-Étienne, and Fekir, after scoring the match's final goal, was quick to cheekily remind the home fans who had scored:

2. finding the top corner against toulouse

In the following season, Lyon, despite having signed Moussa Dembélé to replace the departing Diaz, failed to build on the previous campaign's success. They once again finished third, but did so while being less prolific, but Fekir was ready with more than a few memorable moments, including this free kick which helped his side snatch a draw against Toulouse FC, capping a comeback from 2-0 down.

3 . a winner against monaco

Perhaps not of the same stunning quality as some of the other moments featured here, this strike was nonetheless still impressive, with the second of his two goals on the night securing a 3-2 home win against AS Monaco

4. running the show in manchester

Moving outside of Ligue 1, OL shocked Manchester City at the Etihad in the UEFA Champions League in 2018, with Fekir -- the captain on the evening -- leading the way with a pinpoint assist for Maxwel Cornet and a brilliant goal of his own: 

5. finding the range against psg

Lyon would shock Paris Saint-Germain in a 2-1 win at the Parc Des Princes in 2018, and while Memphis Depay would score a dramatic winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Fekir's brilliant free kick at the near post would set the tone for an impressive display by OL:

6. long distance to bordeaux

Have we saved the best for last? Be the judge for yourself; Fekir scored plenty of impressive goals for Lyon, but none was from further away than this strike against Bordeaux. The visitors would battle back to earn a point, but this powerfully struck effort from the halfway line remains a key part of his legend:
