Ousmane Dembélé was Eric Devin's pick for forward of the season.

The Ligue 1 McDonald's editorial team -- George Boxall, Eric Devin and Eduardo Razo -- have picked their favorites for the 2024/25 season in seven categories. Learn who the experts have picked in our latest series, finishing with our honorees for Forward of the Year.

Eduardo Razo: Mika biereth, AS MONACO

It's never easy switching clubs midseason and jumping on a moving train with no offseason to adapt, but it wasn't necessary for Mika Biereth. The Denmark international moved from SK Sturm Graz to AS Monaco and between January and March he recorded 12 goals and two assists, playing a major role in Monaco securing Champions League football for a second straight season.

Eric Devin: Ousmane Dembélé, Paris Saint-Germain

After nearly a decade's worth of uneven seasons abroad, Ousmane Dembélé was impressive indeed in netting 21 goals in Ligue 1 McDonald's. Along with helping his club to the final of both the Champions League and the Coupe de France, he also helped the capital side comfortably capture the league title by an impressive nineteen-point margin.

George Boxall: Amine Gouiri

Amine Gouiri's arrival from Stade de Rennais was perhaps the key element of Olympique de Marseille's run in the second half. He netted ten goals and three assists in just twelve starts, being one of Ligue 1 McDonald's most prolific scorers in the season's second half. With 74 goals this season, only Paris Saint-Germain did better as a team, and Gouiri's impetus was key despite a shorter spell.
