This match against Nice will also be the last contest for the capital club before their clash against Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie.

On Thursday, Luis Enrique spoke to the media and shared what he expects from a Nice side that are fighting to finish in one of the automatic Champions League spots for next season.

“The type of game that it will be will obviously depend on the score. In general, I’m expecting to face a team that’s capable of pressing us high up the pitch but that will probably deploy more of a mid-to-low block.”

“Depending on our ability to score, they might change their defensive position. We’ll need to stay focused on the aim of controlling both phases of play against a quality side that’s fighting for a Champions League spot. As we’re ambitious, it’s important for our confidence that we go into this kind of game giving 100%.”

Le Gym are four points below second-place Olympique de Marseille, and it’s a six-club battle for second and third place. While PSG set a record with their 39-match league unbeaten streak, Nantes showed this week that they could steal a point away from the newly crowned Ligue 1 McDonald’s champions.

Nice sit four points behind second-place Olympique de Marseille in what’s shaping up to be a six-team race for the final two podium spots. PSG may be on a record unbeaten run, but Nantes proved this week that even the league’s newly crowned champions can be held.

With six teams battling for just two spots, Nice can’t afford to drop points. They need all three, because anything less could be what keeps them from clinching a Champions League spot.

That said, Nice might just be the team to end PSG’s streak—Le Gym have won two of their last three away matches against the reigning Ligue 1 champions, losing just once in that span.
